General FAQ

Q: How do I use iLightr?
A: To open iLightr's lid, swipe your finger up and across towards the hinge or snap the lid open with a quick wrist flick. Once the case is open, swipe down to spark the lighter and ignite the flame. Now enjoy as you watch iLightr respond to the even the slightest motion or touch, like a real lighter! When you're done, a horizontal swipe or another flick of the wrist closes the lid to extinguish the flame.
Q: How can I turn off the Intro Video?
A: The intro video can be switched on or off by accessing iLightr's settings (see device tabs) and toggling the Intro Video setting.

Q: What does the "Sparking Odds" settings do?
A: Fire doesn't have to come easily. This control allows you to determine how reliably iLightr works. To have iLightr light whenever you strike the sparker, set this control to "Every Time" (the default). If you'd rather take your chances, select one of the other options. The further you go down the list, the less likely you'll be successful on your first attempt. To increase your chances of success, try rapidly striking the flint.
Q: I'm having issues installing and/or using iLightr, how can I resolve this?
A: Usually performing a full restart of the device will fix most of these issues. Deleting/uninstalling the app can correct install or launch problems as well. You will not be charged again as your account has record of the original purchase. Also, turning off the intro video can eleviate some freezing issues as well. If your issues still persist, please verify the latest OS for your device is installed properly.
